Naturopathy (Natural Healing)

"All ailments are a consequence of our way of living"
Hippocrates, circa 400 B.C.

Naturopathy

This approach seeks to eliminate imbalances and to help the whole body, by looking at lifestyle, including nutrition, exercise, stress management, oxygenation, water consumption, sun exposure, etc.

It aims for an optimal health level, by using natural means, free from adverse side effects.

The Means

Various therapeutic methods are used in the naturopathic approach, such as: targeted nutrition, herbal medicine, vitamins and minerals, homeopathy, clay and other supplements in order to help the healing process.

Defining the terrain is all important in naturopathy. It is the sum total of all the vitality an individual possesses to protect him from illness.

" The invading microbe is nothing; the body's terrain is everything."
Claude Bernard

A Naturopathic Consultation: How It Works.

1. Assessing the physical condition

This evaluation consists in analyzing heredity, medical history and lifestyle habits, including eating habits, physical exercise, stress, environment and sleeping habits.

2. Assessing vitality (stamina)

3. Formulating a personalized healing program

A naturopath doesn't just look at symptoms; she looks for the cause, or causes, of the failing health.
